Friendly and ready to help.
Karen Lloyd has nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. She started her career in 1999 as a claims representative at a nationally known insurance agency. She then worked her way into commercial lines where she serviced a variety of policies, including contractors, restaurants, stores, hotels, etc. Karen took a brief break from the insurance industry to help build her husband’s business up. She decided to get back into the insurance industry in 2002 where she worked for an agency that primarily wrote insurance for the trucking industry. In 2009, she earned her CISR designation (Certified Insurance Service Representative) which has helped her broaden her knowledge of the insurance industry.
Karen has been with Great Lakes Insurance Agency since 2012. She is currently the office manager. Her responsibilities include accounts payable/receivable, hiring and training of new employees as well as the commercial account manager for all of the trucking business in the agency.
When not working, she enjoys going to Michigan football games with her husband and family in Ann Arbor. She takes every opportunity possible to spend time at the beach. Her favorite thing to do is to spend time with her new grandson. Karen says, “Family is the most important thing there is and you need to cherish every moment.”
